LAHORE: The Punjab government on Wednesday permitted opening swimming pools and holding water sports events at a limited level under Covid-19 SOPs till June 15 after the number of coronavirus cases across the province witnessed some reduction.

The government may extend this permission after June 15 after considering the number of cases.

In a statement, Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh said swimming pools are being opened and water sports events will be organised in the province with 50 per cent use of pool’s capacity.
