DERA MURAD JAMALI: A woman was shot dead by her brother-in-law over a family dispute in Jaffarabad district on Wednesday, police said.

They said that suspect Sahib Khan opened fire and killed the wife of his brother in the Goth Jalal Khan area after exchanging harsh words with her over the family dispute.

The police did not share details of the dispute. The suspect fled the crime scene after the incident.

The woman’s body was taken to the district hospital in Dera Allah Yar and handed over to heirs after medico-legal formalities.
