The assistant commissioners of various areas in Karachi's South district have taken action against a number of businesses over violations of coronavirus SOPs and sealed shops along with imposition of fines.

As many as four shops including three goods’ transport offices were sealed in Garden, while the Mukhtiarkar (revenue officer) imposed a Rs30,000 fine on three transport offices in Lyari and also sealed a local restaurant.

Meanwhile, three people were fined in the jurisdiction of Arambagh for not wearing facemasks. Six shops including a supermart were sealed by the AC in DHA’s Khadda Market.
