SIALKOT: Police recovered on Sunday the dead body of a missing minor girl, who was murdered after gang rape, on the identification of the prime suspect, at Ratta Jathol-Qila village of Kalarwala, Pasrur tehsil.

Police said, seven-year-old Ayisha had gone missing four days ago after she left her house for seminary for the Holy Quran lessons.

Her parents looked for the girl but to no avail. They reported the matter to the police.

The police, during investigation, detained a suspect, Iqbal, who confessed to have killed the child after he and his accomplices gang-raped her.

The suspects buried the body in an under-construction house to conceal their crime.

On identification by Iqbal, the police recovered the body and shifted it to the Pasrur Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for an autopsy.

The police are looking for other suspects.
