Atif, Javed shine

KARACHI, Oct 23: Atif Maqbool and Mohammad Javed guided Cantt Sports CC into the quarterfinals of the 20th Karachi Gymkhana Ramazan Cricket Festival at the KG Ground on Sunday.

Off-spinner Atif took four for 28 as Callmate Telips CC made 163 for eight in 25 overs. Javed then struck an unbeaten 52 at run-a-ball with three fours to help his team win.

Also reaching the last eight stage were Sui Gas CC who scored a narrow three-wicket victory over Malir Gymkhana.
