The Sindh government has decided to keep existing coronavirus restrictions in place for the next two weeks amid rising Covid-19 cases.

According to decisions taken by the provincial task force on coronavirus:

  • All tourist places, including Sea View and Hawkesbay will remain closed.
  • Shops will be allowed to remain open till 6pm in accordance with SOPs from Monday.
  • Inter-city transport will be allowed to operate at 50 per cent capacity; strict fines will be imposed in case of non-compliance.
  • Departmental stores will also remain open till 6pm.
  • Marriage halls will remain closed.

The task force said a decision on reopening educational institutes will be taken after the coronavirus situation improves.
