MARDAN: Two brothers and a woman were shot dead for honour in Khao Toru area here on Friday, the police said.

The Toru police station officials quoted a complainant as saying that he and his two brothers were bringing fodder for animals from their fields when the rivals opened indiscriminate fire on them.

He said as a result of the firing, his two brothers died on the spot, while he remained unhurt.

The police registered FIR on the complaint against a man and his three sons.

The officials said the father of the three sons later also shot dead his daughter. They claimed to have arrested two of the three suspected killers.

The police preliminary investigation suggested that cause of the triple murder was an hounor-related dispute between the rival groups.
