Beaten Masood returns to Australia

KARACHI, Jan 22: Masood Ahmed who is on a coaching assignment in Australia and has appeared here for trials for the selection of Pakistan team for Davis Cup has left the trials after losing his matches.

According to Sindh Tennis Association (STA), Masood Ahmed, who has flown here specially from Australia to appear in the trial lost both his initial matches against Hassan Mahmood and Inam Gul.

According to STA, the trials to pick Pakistan’s team for Davis Cup tie against Malaysia continues at Karachi Gymkhana Wednesday.

Following are the results:

Hassan Mahmood bt Shehzad Samad 4-6,4-6,7-6,6-4,7-5; Nomi Qamer bt Inam Gul 6-1,6-2,6-3; Aqeel Khan bt Kamran Khalil 6-1,6-2,6-4.—APP
