LAKKI MARWAT/ DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Seven persons were killed and nine injured in separate incidents during the Eid days, the police said on Saturday.

The officials said rival groups traded fire in Shakh Quli Khan area near the Naurang town over a land dispute, killing two people and injuring three.

Police identified the victims as Rashid Kamal, 17, and Mohammad Suleman, 33, and injured as Asad Kamal, 20, Nazif Shah and Mashal Khan.

Police reached the area following the incident and shifted the bodies and the injured to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Naurang.

After arresting the accused from both the sides, the personnel took them to the Shaheed Asmatullah Khan Khan police station, where they registered separate cases.

Separately, two persons were killed and as many wounded when two motorcycles collided on Manjiwala link road near Bhana Manjiwala.

The bodies and the injured were shifted to the government city hospital. Later, the wounded were referred to a Bannu hospital in critical condition.

In Dera, a collision between two motorcycles on the CPEC Road in Rahmani Khel area in the limits of Kiri Khaisur police station killed two persons and injured as many.

Police identified the victims as a 22-year-old police constable Mohammad Shoaib Marwat and Naimatullah.

In another accident, one person died and two sustained injuries when the motorcycle they were riding collided with a car on the Indus Highway in the limits of Gomal University police station. The deceased was identified as Rahmatullah Kundi of Jatta.
