TEACHERS at private schools have been facing several issues as things have gone from bad to worse since the coronavirus outbreak. While unemployment is a major concern, there is also the case of schools not paying salaries to the teaching staff despite collecting fees from the students regularly.

A large number of teachers happen to be the sole bread-earners in their families and teaching is their sole source of income. They have to live up to their family’s expectations in times like, say, Eidul Fitr, but they can’t do much, if anything, since the school managements are reluctant to pay their salaries.
