KARACHI: The Majlis Wahdatul Muslimeen staged a protest at Numaish Chowrangi in reaction to attacks on Masjid-i-Aqsa by Israeli forces and “US terrorism” in Afghanistan.

Participants of the protest were chanting slogans against the US, Israel and terrorist organisation ISIS.

Speaking to participants, Allama Sadiq Jafferi said ISIS shed blood of innocent children in Ramazan, which was highly deplorable, referring to the attack on a Kabul school in which around 70 schoolgirls were martyred.

“They are using title of religion, but actually ISIS is complying with Zionist agenda of global unrest by killing peaceful citizens.”

Attacking a girls’ school in Kabul is open brutality and the silence of international human rights champions was questionable, he added.

“Aggression is also targeted to harm Shia Hazara community,” he added.

‘Israel is an illegal state so two-state theory is not a solution for the issue’

Terrorism in Afghanistan

The MWM leader also condemned ongoing Israeli attacks on Palestinians in Ramazan along with terrorism in Afghanistan.

Another leader of MWM Allama Mubashir Hasan urged Afghan rulers to take effective steps to combat terrorism in their country and launch a full-fledged operation against terrorists to clear hideouts of culprits like ISIS.

Talking about recent situation of Afghanistan, Allama Mubashir Hasan added that the US and its partners had shaken foundations of the country by imposing an aimless war in this region.

JI condemns Israeli atrocities

The Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) Karachi held a protest demonstration against Israeli brutalities against Palestinians.

A large number of JI workers and supporters, carrying placards and banners, chanted slogans against the Zionist regime.

The demonstration was held outside Masjid Baitul Mukarram in Gulshan-i-Iqbal after Asr prayers.

Addressing the protesters, JI Karachi chief Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that Prime Minister Imran Khan should have ensured that a joint declaration against Israel was issued during his visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The JI leader said that Israel was an illegal state so two-state theory was not a solution for the issue.

He said that any such attempt would be tantamount to accepting and legalising the occupation of Palestine by Zionist forces.

He said that lobbying in Pakistan for acceptance of Israel was an unconstitutional step and the state of Israel would not be accepted at any cost.

Hamas symbol of resistance

The JI leader praised Hamas, the resistance force against Israel in Gaza.

He said that Hamas was a symbol of resistance against oppression.

He said that freedom fighters of Hamas were in high spirit.

He also paid rich tribute to the resilient Muslims in Palestine.

Addressing the protesters, the JI leader further said that unfortunately leaderships in Muslim countries did not represent the aspirations of Muslim world.

Instead, the Muslim leaders with a few exceptions have become stooges of the Zionist regime, he claimed.

He further said that the Muslim world would have to launch a struggle to change its leaderships.

The JI leader said that each and every child in Palestine was part of joint resistance struggle against Israel.

The courage and resolve of their nation is exemplary, he said, adding that the entire ummah is under obligation to support Palestinians.

JI Karachi deputy chief Usama Bin Razi, and Palestinian Foundation Pakistan leader Muslim Pervez also addressed the rally.
