I HAVE been hearing about the Central Superior Service (CSS) for long, and that actually irritates me a lot. Are these competitive examinations everything in one’s life? Are there no better professions or fields other than the CSS?

Indeed, there are, but people love fame, power and luxury rather than intelligence and creativity.

If we take the example of developed nations, majority of people are not interested in civil services. Instead, they are interested in science and innovation. It is because they think of the future, while, unfortunately, people in Pakistan think of fame, comfort and power.

We think about how to earn more money, while people in the developed countries think how to develop their nation.

We should be broadminded when it comes to selecting a career. We must think globally even while acting locally.
