RAWALPINDI: Police are looking for a robbers’ gang who shot dead a man and injured three others by attacking them with hammers during a robbery in a house in Dhoke Hassu on Saturday.

According to police, robbers managed to flee after looting cash, gold and other valuables from the house.

The incident took place within Ratta Amral police limits, they said.

Police have registered FIR and started investigation.

According to them, a gang of robbers armed with weapons and hammers entered a house at 4:30am near Bismillah Hotel in Azeemabad.

The robbers started looting house when the inmates resisted they shot dead an inmate while started beating others with hammers. After committing the crime, the robbers managed to escape from the scene.

A heavy contingent of police led by

SDPO City Circle Chaudhry Assar rushed to the scene and collected evidence besides calling Rescue 1122 to shift the victims to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital.

The deceased has been identified as Lal Hussain, 50, who sustained four bullet injuries while the others who had multiple fractures.
