ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Dr. Fehmida Mirza on Wednesday inaugurated the newly-laid green Astroturf at Naseer Bunda Hockey Stadium here in Islamabad.

The laying of the Astroturf was completed within a one-year time frame at the cost of Rs89.210 million.

The IPC minister regretted that owing to the devastation caused by the Covid-19, sports activities were at a halt and the Pakistan Sports Board had to cut down the inauguration ceremony.

“Upgradation of sports venues and development of new sports infrastructure is our priority”, she said and stressed upon the Provincial Governments to undertake such projects for the promotion and development of sports at grassroots.
