QUETTA: Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani on Monday discussed development projects for Quetta division and southern Balochistan for the next financial year and progress on the ongoing schemes.

Presiding over a meeting, he said construction of five major sports complexes in Quetta division and creation of amusement parks in the provincial capital would be included in the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for 2021-22.

The chief minister said that plans should be formulated keeping in view the development needs of Quetta city and all available resources should be utilised to provide recreational facilities to its citizens.

He said a development plan should be prepared for construction and development of Quetta city.

He directed the authorities concerned to upgrade metropolitan corporations. Plans to set up more colleges in Quetta city should be included in the new PSDP, he added.
