QUETTA: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Monday filed in an accountability court a reference against 15 government officials, including five tehsildars, for tampering with revenue record and illegal sale of government land in Gwadar district.

An investigation carried out by the NAB Balochistan into the land scam of Gwadar’s Mouza Ankara North revealed that incumbent Gwadar tehsildar Buhair Dashti and former tehsildars Tariq Gichki, Nisar Ahmad Gurgej, Noor Bizenjo and Nazir Bizenjo and Abdul Razzaq, Syed Khudadad Shah, Javed Ali and Asoomi had tampered with the official record and illegally sold 844 acres of land to private individuals, causing a loss of Rs214 million to the national exchequer.
