SIALKOT: The bridge over seasonal Nullah Aik has been in a state of disrepair for the last one year due to alleged slackness of the officials of the irrigation department.

The bridge over the drain near Kaanbaanwala-Bambaanwala in Daska tehsil was badly damaged and one of its portions washed away during flash floods of last year. It was the only way to connect many Daska villages.

People have been facing a great deal of inconvenience due to the damaged bridge.

Officials of the irrigation department say they have no funds to repair the bridge. They have demanded that Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and district government functionaries look into the matter and order repairs of the bridge to restore facility for the people.
