HYDERABAD, Jan 22: The district police, Hyderabad, in a crackdown against criminals arrested six people from Hyderabad and Hala on Tuesday.

The SHO, Hussainabad police station, in a raid on the Auto Bhan Road, Unit No3, Latifabad, arrested three men — Abdul Haseeb Soomro, Banish Ghauri, and Imran Memon — and recovered stolen computer hardware and a VCR from their possession.

The SHO also arrested a man — Rafique Ahmed — and recovered a stolen motorcycle (DU-8586) from his possession.

A stolen car (L-2046) was recovered from the Sharif Square, Hussainabad.

The Hala police conducted a raid at the Piran ji Ladion and arrested two men — Sain Bux and M. Khan — and recovered a large quantity of country-made liquor from their possession.

ROBBED: Around 18 pistols and 700 rounds were stolen from an armoury shop on the Haji Shah Chowk the other day.

Police said no formal FIR was lodged as the shop owners were making their own queries.

MAN KILLED: A man, Shareef Gul, was killed and his colleague, Mustaqeem, was injured when a tyre of their car (AA-9067) burst the other day.
