Minor girl killed by food poisoning

LARKANA, Oct 18: A minor girl died and seven other villagers were hospitalized after consuming contaminated food in Wasayo Bhutto village, some 30 kilometres off here on Tuesday.

Sharif and Lal Bakhsh Brohi, who brought the affected villagers to the Chandka Medical College Hospital said the victims had suffered from diarrhoea and vomiting after taking food in a village reception.

They said three-year-old Amina, daughter of Allah Bakhsh Brohi, died in the village.

Haider Bakhsh Brohi, Gul Khatoon, wife of Ali Bakhsh, Naz Bibi, wife of Lal Bakhsh, Maula Bakhsh, four-year-old Ghufran, five-year-old Mian Bakhsh and two-year-old Nadia have been admitted to the CMCH.

A victim, Maula Bakhsh Brohi, was stated to be in a precarious condition in the Chandka Medical College Hospital.
