PESHAWAR: The provincial cabinet will get four new ministers today (Tuesday).
Governor Shah Farman will administer the oath to them during a special ceremony at the Governor’s House here.
The new ministers include former senior minister Mohammad Atif Khan and former revenue minister Shakeel Khan and MPAs Abdul Shakoor Khan and Faisal Amin Khan Gandapur.
The cabinet expansion was revealed by spokesman for the government Kamran Khan Bangash in a news statement issued here on Monday.
Sources said portfolios of the new ministers had yet to be decided.
They also claimed that forest minister Ishtiaq Urmur, social welfare minister Hasham Inamullah and adviser to the chief minister for science and technology Ziaullah Bangash were likely to be sacked.
Atif Khan and Shakeel Khan were sacked as ministers in Jan last year along with elementary and secondary education minister Shahram Khan Tarakai on the charge of conspiring against Chief Minister Mahmood Khan.
However, Mr Tarakai returned to the cabinet in Sept last year leaving Atif and Shakeel behind.
