LAHORE: A woman was shot dead allegedly by her former husband in Badami Bagh on Sunday.
Police said Khalida, 40, of Data Nagar, was divorced by Sarwar Khan some months back.On Saturday evening, Sarwar came to her residence to settle some matter where he shot at and injured her after an exchange of harsh words. The suspect fled the scene.
Police said the victim suffered bullet wounds. She was shifted to hospital where she succumbed to her injuries on Sunday morning.
Police shifted the body to morgue for autopsy and registered a murder case against the suspect.
