WHILE waiting at a traffic signal near the Lilley Bridge in Karachi’s Clifton area, we often find traffic constable Manzoor Ahmed, as seen in the picture above, always fitted in his neat and clean uniform, controlling traffic professionally and with due courtesy. I have always found him well-dressed, wearing neck scarf and the Covid-necessitated mask. He controls traffic smoothly and his behaviour with public remains cordial. Such police officials should be appreciated and may be made role models for other traffic sergeants who may learn a thing or two from him, for most of them hardly control traffic and their behaviour with public remains uncalled for at the best of times.
