GCCI sends goods for quake victims

GUJRANWALA, Oct 17: The local chamber of commerce and industry has donated relief goods worth Rs15 million to the Punjab governor’s relief fund besides sending 10 truckloads to the affected areas during the last one week.

This was stated by chamber president Akhlaq Ahmad while speaking at a meeting here on Monday.

District nazim Fiaz Ahmad Chattha told newsmen that 100,000 blankets and other relief goods would be provided to the affected people within a week.

OATH: District and sessions judge Mazhar Husain Minhas administered oath from district nazim Fiaz Chattha, seven town nazims and union council members here on Monday.

After taking oath, Rizwan Zafar Cheema of Nandipur Town, Rao Ikram Ali of Aroop Town, Mian Tariq of Qila Dedar Singh Town, Chaudhry Nawazish Ali Cheema of Wazirabad Town, Rana Sajjad Ahmad Khan of Kamoki Town, Adil Farooq of Khial Town and Azher Qayyum Nahara of Naushera Virkan Town pledged that they would work for the development of all ignored areas on priority.
