PESHAWAR: The new Pashto song of popular nomad vocalist Zarsanga with young Faisal Salman Marwat has garnered an overwhelming applause from audience and her large fans following on social media.

Shot at beautiful locations, the composition of the folk song triggered a spirit of love drenched in typical Pashto accent. The duet also registered an impact on those, who had heard Zarsanga long time ago.

“The widespread popularity of the Pashto duet showed that folk music still has strength to cast magical effect on ears longed for quality stuff. Young virtuous on digital gadgets should come forward to recapture and popularise the old numbers,” said senior music composer Nazeer Gul Ustad.

The troll of the of the duet ‘Janan Janan’ has received unprecedented praise for the song she had earlier sung on many occasions but the fresh throb came up with a refined orchestra, shades and music composition of Rahman Gul known for his own typical taste of southern Pashtun belt.

Faisal Salman Marwat’s duet with the legendary folk artist came as a great surprise because his identity on social media has already been established as Titok star.

“I was grieved to know about the worst financial condition of Zarsanga Bibi. The fresh Pashto duet featuring her being clad in her nomad attire with same music filed voice dashed me into a romantic world. I think this way we can keep her alive and young Faisal Salman’s attempt should earn more accolades,” said Italy-based Shahid Afridi.

Ali Khan Darwiash said that Zarsanga was a never dying voice. He added that her songs touched the souls and healed the hearts.

Zarsanga told this scribe that she was not familiar with modern day instruments but her duet with a young artist encouraged her to come up with more such projects.

She added that in fact the trio of music, blend of old and young and that of high and low pitches enabled them to bring out the old wine in a new bottle.
