Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has asked the National Coordination Committee (NCC) on Covid-19 to shut down inter-provincial transport for two weeks so the spread of the "dangerous third wave" of the coronavirus can be curbed.
During the NCC session being chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan, Shah also urged the federal government to allow provinces to open registrations for the Covid-19 vaccines to all their citizens.
He informed the prime minister that out of the total reported coronavirus cases in Sindh, only 3.5 per cent were patients. "This shows that we [Sindh province] have been less affected but the influx of people coming to Sindh could worsen the situation," he added.
