In 1944, aged 12, the author discovered communism through the leftist newspapers sold on the streets of his city, Bombay [Mumbai]. After migrating to Pakistan in 1954, he continued to participate in red politics, and contributed extensively to leftist literature. This book is a compilation of some of his essays originally published in the monthly magazine Badalti Duniya
