Man arrested for pestering woman

KASUR: The residents of Bilal Colony in the limits of Pattoki police station beat a man and, later, handed him over to the police for pestering a woman and her daughters on Tuesday.

The man was stalking a woman who was strolling in a park adjacent to the Pattoki THQ Hospital near her house with two of her daughters. The woman raised hue and cry when she felt herself and her daughters insecure.

The locals seized the suspect, thrashed him and handed him over to the police.

The police also lodged a criminal case on the complaint of the husband of the woman.

ACCIDENTS: Four people, including a woman and two children, died in as many road accidents while seven people suffered injuries on Tuesday in Kasur.

In the first incident, a truck hit a car carrying wedding guests from from rear side on Deepalpur Road near Chunian village Bhagiana in the limits of Allahabad Police station.Car riders, including Naseem Bibi, and her husband Muhammad Javid, died on the spot while Fouzia and driver Aas Muhammad sustained serious injuries.

The guests were going to Khudian Town, some 25 km from Kasur, to attend a wedding ceremony. Rescue 1122 shifted the injured to the THQ Hospital for medical aid. The driver of the truck fled. The police were looking into the matter.

In the second incident, a Lahore-bound bus hit a motorcycle from rear side on Multan Road near Kahna Stop in the limits of the Pattoki Police station. As a result, bike rider five-year-old girl Naina died instantly while her father Ghulam Murtaza and mother Isma sustained injuries and were rushed to the Pattoki THQ Hospital. Police were thrashing out the matter.

In the third incident, three people sustained injuries as a trailer ran over two motorcycles riders that earlier had a head-on collision on Halla Road near village Burj Mahalam in the limits of Pattoki police station. Niamat Ali, Pervez Ali and Waseem Ahmed suffered injuries and were hospitalised.

Separately, a tractor trolley loaded with sand ran over a 12-year-old boy who was playing on the road. The driver of the tractor trolley manged his escape. Police started investigations.
