CHAGAI: Inspector General Frontier Corps (IGFC), southern Balochistan, Major General Ayman Bilal Safdar, urged the local people in Washuk to stay away from anti-peace elements.

According to a press release issued here on Friday, the FC inspector general said this while addressing a jirga at the FC headquarters in Washuk.

He said the anti-peace elements could never be well-wishers of the masses as they were “working on a foreign agenda”.

He termed peace a gateway to prosperity, saying that Washuk district could be turned into a developed area through collective efforts.

Major General Safdar said that establishment of educational institutions in Washuk was aimed to provide a bright future to the new generation. He said “the law and order in this area is the outcome of public support and best relationship between the security forces and local administration”.

Washuk’s Deputy Commissioner Shafqat Anwar Shahwani, Commandant FC, Kharan Rifles, Colonel Qamar, Wing Commander Ammad Rahim and other officials were present in the Jirga where local tribesmen discussed multiple issues with the FC inspector general and other officials.
