QUETTA, Oct 14: The Balochistan government has dispatched a consignment of relief goods for earthquake victims to Islamabad through a special goods train comprising 36 bogies.

The goods were donated by the provincial government, the Quetta corps headquarters, the Frontier Corps and different non-governmental organizations.

The consignment comprised 11,534 blankets, 772 tents, 2,150 bags of garments, 5,000 cartons of foodstuff, 1,000 water bottles, 4,500 woollen jackets, medicines worth Rs400,000 and 300 bags of other items. The 12 corps headquarters sent 80 tons of relief goods.

The Balochistan government has donated Rs31.5 million, the FC Rs2 million and different NGOs Rs720,000 to the president’s relief fund.
