Pakistan’s top drivers to compete in Hub Rally from 13th

KARACHI: Rally drivers from across the country will gather for the 8th edition of Hub Rally 2021 which will contested on March 13-14 the Gaddani Coast.

Top rally drivers of the country will be featuring in the rally including Nadir Magsi, Rony Patel, Asif Imam, Asad Khokhar, Amir Magsi, Zain Ali, Sahibzada Sultan Muhammad Ali, Nadeem, Shiraz Qureshi besides women drivers Tushna Patel, Palwasha Sultan, Nida Wasti, and Salma Khan who will exhibit their skills and experience to drive on unbalance surface levels. The drivers will compete in 9 different categories including 4 stocks, 4 prepaid and 1 women category, said chief organiser Hub Rally and CEO Toyota Highway Shujaat Sherwani here on Monday during a crowded press conference to announce the details of Hub Rally press conference. added.

“The bumper winning purse of Hub Rally has been doubled this year to two million,” he added.

Assistant Commissioner HUB Ahmed Zaheer, Chairman Gaddani Ataullah Baloch, Atif Majeed Head of Falcon-I plus riders Asif Imam, Tushna Patel, and Nadia Wasti were also present on the occasion.

“This Hub Rally race will be the largest route as it is a three in one track which covers 50 km of area surrounding deserts, mountainous, and coastal region. Motor bikers race is a new addition to the event and will be held on the 13th whereas the car riders will visit the track for rackey,” Shujaat added.

AC Hub Ahmed Zaheer said that the aim to hold these types of races is to highlight the natural beauty of our nation which will also promote tourism in Pakistan as well as present a good image in the world. On Women’s Day a special cake cutting ceremony was held to mark their achievements and empowering in every field.”

Women defending champion Tushna Patel said that, “Women are equally anticipating in each sector either sports or professional fields. We all need to encourage and support women to participate in such races so we will have more participation in number. Hub rally is the most awaited event for us.”

Shujaat further briefed the media personnel about the Covid protocols and safety measure for the races; roll-bar along with a helmet, seat-belt, fire-extinguisher, and first-aid box in every vehicle is mandatory for participants. Keeping the covid safety measures use of the mask is a necessity.
