LAHORE, Oct 13: The final bout for the ‘Rustam-i-Pakistan’ title between defending champion Bashir Bhola Bhala (Lahore/Wapda) and Zahid Iqbal (Sahiwal/Railways) will be held in Multan on Nov 25.

Pakistan Wrestling Federation (PWF) secretary Chaudhary Arif said that the winners would earn Rs 100,000 and a mace while the runners-up will pocket Rs 75,000. Arif said that 12 small bouts on the occasion would also be held to provide more entertainment to the fans.

He said that the PWF was considering to allow entry to the fans on tickets to earn gate money.

He said that the city had great enthusiasm for the sport and if there will be a free access, it would be impossible to control the crowd.

However, he said that a final decision would be taken by the end of the current month.

Bhola Bhala had qualified for the bout after beating Hamid pehalwan of Multan in the semifinals early this year. Zahid Iqbal toppled ‘Acchi’ pehalwan also of Multan in the other prefinals.
