A TRUE friend does not care whether you are rich or poor, how you look, if your house is a mess, which car you drive or if you have a dysfunctional family. Your conversation with them will pick up from where it was left months ago. And despite all of your faults, they will stand by you in your time of need. Such people are incredibly hard to find these days. In the process of earning more than our peers, we have somehow stopped giving due importance to our relationships with people around us.

Unfortunately, we may be earning more than our forefathers, but we are not better human beings than them. While they prioritised their friendships, we have indulged ourselves in the rat race of monetary success. It is time the nation indulged in retrospection to see where everything went wrong for it.
