THIS is apropos the news item ‘Dr Yasmeen’s daughter’s selection for King Edward Medical University top slot draws ire’ (Feb 23). It has been a few weeks since her nomination to the post. The young doctors rightly conducted a protest against her selection, but the dean rejected the allegations.
Being a citizen, I too have reservations over this appointment. The government should conduct an inquiry into the matter to determine whether or not the proper procedure was adopted in this case.
