LAHORE: The Punjab government reports that coronavirus has claimed 13 more lives during the past 24 hours taking the tally of total deaths in Punjab to 5,350.

Of 13 deaths, seven have been reported from Lahore, two each from Faisalabad and Gujranwala and one each from Rawalpindi and Bahawalpur.

As many as 532 new cases have been reported in Punjab during the past 24 hours making the total Covid-positive patients to 171,349.

The highest number 308 new cases have been reported from Lahore besides 63 from Faisalabad, 32 from Rahim Yar Khan, 21 from Rawalpindi, 19 from Sialkot, 13 from Khushab and 11 from Multan.

The Punjab primary and secondary healthcare department spokesman says the department has so far conducted 3.294 million tests and added that 160,997 coronavirus patients had recovered in the province.

The spokesman said people should ensure protective measures to save themselves from the coronavirus infection. In case there were some symptoms, the spokesman said such persons should immediately contact 1033.
