UAE’s Al Ain cruise into final

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 12: Al Ain cruised into the AFC Champions League final as a goalless draw at China’s Shenzhen Jianlibao on Wednesday gave them a 6-0 semifinal aggregate win.

The United Arab Emirates side, the 2003 title holders, are likely to face Arab rivals and defending champions Al Ittihad, of Saudi Arabia in the final.

Shenzhen, the outgoing Chinese league champions, were never going to overcome their mauling in the Middle East two weeks ago given their miserable domestic form this season.
