ISLAMABAD: While the Capital Development Authority (CDA) opened the first pet-friendly park of the city at F-6 on Saturday, around 1,300 sanitary workers of the civic agency held a protest against non-paymnet of their salaries for two months.
The pet-friendly park has been set up on Hill Road and the CDA said two similar parks will be established in the city soon. Staffers have also been deployed to train the pets in the park. A number of citizens visited the park along with their pets. Pet lovers have been repeatedly requesting the CDA to introduce such parks where citizens can come with their pets.
Earlier, there was no government-run pet park in the city. There is a ban on carrying pets to public parks so that visitors are not affected. The park has been designed in such a way that citizens can sit, play and walk with their pets.
