SIR Ghulam Hussein Hidayatullah, Premier of Sind, in an interview on Wednesday [Feb 13] said that he was confident that he would steer his Cabinet through the Budget Session of the Sind Assembly despite a no-confidence motion against him tabled by Mr. G.M. Syed, reports A.P.I. from Bombay.

Sir Ghulam Hussein said that the Congress Party in Sind had taken to an unnatural, if not unholy, alliance with Mr. G.M. Syed.

“Mr. Syed is one of the sponsors of Pakistan,” he said. “He is the man who said that the Hindus are infidels and the Jews of Sind and that they ought to be driven out. He started the campaign to boycott the Hindus in Sind. Moreover, Mr. Syed contested the election with Pakistan as his slogan. The words, ‘A vote for Mr. Syed is a vote for Pakistan’ were in his election placard. And yet, the Congress Party has joined hands with him,” Sir Ghulam Hussein added…. “And I can tell you that Mr. Syed will not remain long with the Congress Party.”
