RAWALPINDI: Special Representative of the Russian President for Afghanistan, Ambassador Zamir Kabulov, would be visiting Islamabad on February 18, 2021.

During his visit to Pakistan, he will meet Prime Minister Imran Khan, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, the Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Inter-Services Intelligence Director General Lieutenant-General Faiz Hameed.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs had asked the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to grant exemption from Covid-19 test 96 hours before the flight.

Following the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ request, the CAA has granted permission to the Russian representative to travel to Pakistan without mandatory Covid-19 PCR test certification aboard Turkish Airlines flight to Islamabad as per intended travel itinerary.

The CAA said the permission, however, is subjected to other relevant provisions of the SOPs issued on Dec 31, 2020 and subsequent amendment thereof related to International passengers.
