NAWABSHAH: More than a dozen electric cars imported from Korea were badly damaged when the long vehicle transporting the consignment from Karachi to Lahore overturned near the Dino Machine stop in Qazi Ahmed town along the National Highway on Friday.

Sources in the Motorway Police said that the accident apparently took place due to overspeeding resorted to by the trailer driver.

The trailer driver and cleaner remained safe in the accident, they added.

They said the cars fell off the trailer and got badly damaged.

Imported for the first time, the cars are expensive as they are equipped with latest recharge gadgets and high-tech equipment, according to sources in the automobile industry.
