LAHORE: A minor boy was found hanged on the second storey of his Gulshan Town house in the Hanjarwal area here on Monday.

Police identified the boy as Abdullah, 11, a student of Class 5. Initially, it was reported the boy was allegedly raped and killed. However, the police inquiry declared it accidental death.

Lahore Capital City Police Officer Ghulam Mahmood Dogar said Abdullah and his sister were playing with a swing of a cloth at the second floor of the house. Suddenly, the boy’s neck got trapped in the swing and he died instantly, he said, adding that the family also testified about the incident and asked police to stop criminal proceedings.

The CCPO said the body of the boy was handed over the family after legal formalities.
