GUJRANWALA: The Baghbanpura police claimed on Saturday to have arrested three kite sellers and a drug peddler.

Under the supervision of City Police Officer Sarfraz Ahmad Falki, Baghbanpura SHO Inspector Sayed Qaisar Abbas, along with his team, raided many places and arrested three kite sellers and a drug peddler. The arrested men said they had been selling kites and twine for the last many years.

Police registered cases against the suspects.

In another case, police have registered a case against 90 people including former MPA Hasnat Shah and former district nazim Afzal Mansha on the allegation of creating hurdles in the work of police.

Daska SHO Badar Munir said the suspects were involved in hampering police work during general holdup and breaking the mirror of a police van.

FIRDOUS AWAN: Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan says the PDM expressed solidarity not only with the people of Kashmir but also with India and Modi in Muzaffarabad.

By doing so, she said, the 10-party alliance did a disservice to the oppressed Muslims of the occupied Kashmir.

She said the government did not want the Senate election to be turned into a goat market. “The prime minister wants to make it an exemplary Senate election,” she said.
