KARACHI: Special Investigation Unit (SIU), Karachi, on Friday claimed to have arrested a gang of four alleged street criminals and seized a motorcycle and four pistols from them.
According to SIU SSP retired Capt Haider Raza, acting upon a tip-off personnel of the unit conducted a raid near PNSC Flats, located in the Taimuria area, and apprehended Ghulam Hussain, Hussain, Zulfiqar, and Irfan Ali.
The personnel also seized a motorcycle and four unlicensed pistols from them, the SSP said. He quoted the suspects as confessing to having committed dozens of robberies. Mostly, they targeted people who withdrew cash from banks, he said.
A case against them has been registered and further investigations are underway.
