TOBA TEK SINGH: Relatives of a person openedindiscriminate firing to prevent the wedding ceremony of his two daughters at Gojra’s Chak 349- JB on Thursday night.

The wedding guests ran helter-skelter to save their lives. The assailants made good their escape and later the ceremony was held.

Manzoor Masih had arranged a joint function of wedding of both daughters and some of his relatives including Abbas who opposed the marriage came there and opened firing to create panic and disrupt the function. They, however, escaped when a number of people came out of their houses and moved towards the venue. Later, the ceremony was held according to the plan. The Gojra Saddar police registered a case and conducted raids to arrest the suspects.
