HYDERABAD, Jan 21: The female primary teachers staged a protest demonstration outside the office of the Zila Nazim against the termination of their services, here on Monday.

Talking to newsmen Shagufta Rabab Jafri, Yasmin Mohammad Anwar Pathan and Qamar Jehan Jafri said that 814 females were appointed as primary teachers in 1995-96.

They said that without any show cause notice their services were terminated in 1998 on the ground that they had produced forged documents at the time of their appointments.

They said that although they had not been paid their salaries from Oct 97 to Sep 1998, they continued to perform their duties.

They said that after the termination of their services, a so-called committee was appointed which reinstated their own favourites while the others were left out. They said that the remaining female primary teachers should also be reinstated in service.

The Zila Nazim, Dr Makhdoom Rafiquz Zaman, appointed a committee to probe into the matter and assured full cooperation to the teachers.
