SWABI: The Women University Swabi (WUS) is all set to launch the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s first dedicated Centre for Online Learning.

Speaking at a meeting on Saturday, the faculty members said WUS would be the first public sector university in KP to take such extraordinary step as online and blended learning was now future of academics.

They said lectures recorded at the facility would be available to students at the university’s portal 24/7. In the first step, the facility will be available to the university students only, and in the next phase, it will be extended to other students, they added.

“The academia is now swiftly transitioning towards online and blended learning systems,” Vice-Chancellor Prof Shahana Urooj Kazmi said.

The university has also established its official Youtube channel containing profile of every department which is a great achievement of our directorate of public relations and publications, she said.

The teachers recalled that special assistant to the chief minister on information and higher education, Kamran Bangash, in a recent meeting had lauded the university’s initiative to establish KP’s first Centre for Online Learning.
