KARACHI: Nine horses are in contention for the Pacific Cup which figures prominently in a small four-race card drawn for the winter Gymkhana race meeting slated to take place at the Karachi Racecourse on Sunday.

The Pacific Cup which is the third race in racing order has been classified under combined scale order scale order IV, V & VI and go over four-and-a-half furlongs.

Half-a-dozen horses are bracketed in the next race which is also feature event — combined top scale order II, III and IV to be contested over four-and-half furloNgs.

The first two races of lower classifications will be run over four furlongs.

Meanwhile, unknown pedigree bay horse Ajnabi will make his debut in the opening race.

The first race starts at 2.45pm.

Place: Hawwaam and Golra Pride.

THE PACIFIC CUP SCALE ORDER IV, V & VI 4 ½ F:

New Class 9-2, Starka 9-0, Soldier Queen 8-13, Justify 8-10, Thomas 8-4, Recovery 8-3, Soldier Girl 7-12, Who is Next 7-8, Soldier Star 7-6.
