KARACHI: Teachers suspended

KARACHI, Oct 9: The EDO (education) of the city government, Abdul Wahab Abbasi, has suspended a Sindhi language teacher allegedly drawing salary for the last 12 years without attending duties besides suspending ten other teachers on account of unauthorized absence.

According to a statement of the city government, the EDO paid a surprise visit to Mumtaz Government Boys Secondary School, Firdaus Colony and found out that a Sindhi language teacher, Saghir Bughio, had been absent from duties since 1993.

It was also discovered that Saghir Bughio was also working as a clerk in the Government Urdu Arts and Commerce College, Karachi.

Five teachers have been suspended from Mumtaz Secondary School due to unauthorized absence from duty, three from Mumtaz Primary School and three from Ziaul Islam Elementary School on similar accounts—APP
