NAUSHAHRO FEROZE: A 12-year-old girl died in a fire that swept through her house in Ghulam Rasool Arain village near Padidan town on Monday.

Five goats kept outside also burned to death while all household articles and grain stocks were reduced to ashes.

The body of deceased Salma was taken to the Padidan rural health centre for a post-mortem examination and then handed over to her family.

Her father, Rahmatullah Shar, told local reporters that he and his family members were asleep when the fire broke out. He said his daughter had already died by the time rescuers got to her.
