Ambassador Adam Tugio hosted a webinar for the friends of Indonesia including representatives of the tourism, hospitality and media industries.

Ambassador Tugio said Indonesia and Pakistan had always enjoyed a great level of understanding and friendship based on common religious, cultural and social values and their unique relations in various spheres have naturally continued to grow stronger and deeper.”

President Joko Widodo’s state visit to Pakistan in 2018 marked a historic milestone and set a new dynamism in the bilateral relations of the two countries.

Pakistan and Indonesia stand proudly together as two of the largest Muslim populated countries and emerging economies of creative and talented people. It is very pleasing to note that both the countries aspire to maintain and further develop their exemplary ties and transform the potential of these ties to bolster cooperation in various venues,” Mr Tugio said.

“As Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia, I look forward to contributing towards further strengthening of government-to-government ties and facilitate business to business contacts between our two brotherly countries. I am very optimistic that close consultation and coordination involving all stakeholders including Pakistan Business Council, chambers of commerce and Industry will produce the desired mutually beneficial results,” he added.

The Indonesian Lion Air is expected to start flying to Pakistan once the pandemic ends which will reduce travel time and costs.
