All-round show by Faraz

KARACHI, Oct 8: Youngster Faraz Patel produced a good all-round performance to help Customs CC defeat Callmate CC in the 20th Karachi Gymkhana Ramazan Cricket Festival match at the KG Ground on Saturday.

Faraz scored an unbeaten 31 as Customs CC reached 176 for eight in their 20 overs. Other notable scorers were opener Javed Mansoori (43 off 30 balls, six fours) and Shahid Siddique (41 off 32 balls, four fours and one six).

Leg-spinner Mansoor Ahmed captured three for 24.

Callmate CC, in reply, were mustered 156 for nine. Slow left-armer Amjad Manzoor claimed three for 32 while Faraz grabbed two crucial wickets for 27 runs to earn the Man-of-the-Match award.
